SUMMER ENRICHMENT AT REGENT LEGACY - june 23rd to july 3rd
Introduction to Speech for Grades 5-10; 11am to 1pm on Zoom
This class will introduce younger students to the craft of public speaking. Students will study great speeches in American history as well as examples from competition as they develop, research, write, and learn to present an introductory informative, persuasive, or oral interpretation piece. Introduction to Debate for Grades 6-12; 2pm to 4pm on Zoom
This class will introduce middle school and high school students to the challenges of academic debate. Students will study presidential debates and high level academic debate as they break down, research, and develop arguments and evidence in support of both sides of the national Lincoln-Douglas debate topic from March and April – “Resolved: the development of artificial general intelligence is immoral.” Cost: $500.
